Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, interact, and contribute to the Web. Web accessibility encompasses all disabilities that affect access to the Web, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
It is vital to the well-being of all individuals globally that we ensure equal access to online media. Our entire team is involved in and supportive of web and video accessibility. We provide dedicated resources on video and digital accessibility through our blogs, podcast webinars, ebooks, surveys, and white papers.
cielo24 specializes in the automatic transmission of captioning and transcription data directly to 3rd-party partner services. All student/client-facing interaction with videos using our captions and transcripts happens through these video hosting platforms and learning management systems.
Our services, from ordering to retrieving, are available via our API. When a client uses a 3rd-party partner service, the entire workflow happens through that 3rd-party partner service. The 3rd-party partner provider would then address any accessibility issues with their service.
This Accessibility Statement discloses the effort we take to conform to accessibility standards by leveraging third-party tools as well as taking guidance from accessibility best practices and standards defined by Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) of the World Wide Web Consortium Web Accessibility Initiative (W3C WAI).
cielo24 is continuously retrofitting our company website, resources, Portfolio user interface (UI), and transcription wrapper to meet WCAG Conformance standards. The company is compliant with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA Success Criteria. These globally recognized best practices (as recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium) consist of three levels of accessibility measurement (A, AA, and AAA). To the greatest extent feasible, portfolio.cielo24.com has elected to conform to Level AA of these guidelines. Please see more information about WCAG compliance. An ongoing 2023 accessibility roadmap is underway for continued improvements.
In our effort to provide a fully accessible and optimized user experience for all site visitors, the cielo24 website is tested regularly for accessibility compliance using the WAVE tool. Our accessibility statement and documentation are updated monthly. The portfolio.cielo24.com website is monitored and tested regularly by internal resources and by AudioEye, a third-party provider of Web Accessibility testing and monitoring. As issues of accessibility are identified, results of automated and manual testing are managed through the AudioEye® Digital Accessibility Platform and through the cielo24 development team. As new solutions are discovered to improve the user experience, remediation is tracked and fixes are implemented to improve the website user experience.
