Sales Director – Media & Entertainment | New York City, NY

We are seeking an experienced media sales executive with a passion for SaaS, media data analytics, technology, and developing new markets. The mission of the Sales Director – Media & Entertainment is to meet and exceed the revenue targets for the media & entertainment marketplace. This person will be an inspirational sales leader with intensity, discipline, maturity, drive, high integrity, and strong business skills. This role is located in New York City and will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

The most critical deliverables include:

  • The attainment and overachievement of revenue and customer acquisition goals
  • Creating and executing the sales expansion strategy for the media and entertainment market

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and manage the media & entertainment business
  • Assume accountability for results and responsibility for meeting/exceeding agreed upon sales and margin targets
  • Provide leadership to refine sales approach and influence overall go-to-market strategy
  • Lead demand-gen activities in conjunction with marketing, sales operations, and strategic partner resources to build and grow pipeline
  • Contribute to company management:
    • Partner with the executive team to develop and refine the media and entertainment strategy
    • Bring new ideas, insights, and methods from past successes and current trends
    • Share and collaborate with the product development team on potential client features, functionality and new products
    • Ensure that cielo24 is delivering on customer needs and expectations

Background

  • Deep media technology and data analytics SaaS experience closing $100K+ recurring deals with emerging and established media companies around the world
  • Long-standing industry relationships especially focused on media production and monetization in all aspects of the video media ecosystem
  • Strong sales and business development experience with a demonstrated track record as a top performer throughout his or her career
  • Experience in creating and refining the story and the sales pitch working with product, marketing, operations, and other teams
  • Deeply familiar with the principles of digital marketing, sales automation, and the broad ecosystem of marketing technology
  • Strong enterprise software sales background (SaaS CRM, Business Intelligence, Analytics)
