cielo24 Accessibility Statement
Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, interact and contribute to the Web. Web accessibility encompasses all disabilities that affect access to the Web, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
cielo24 specializes in the automatic transmission of captioning and transcription data directly to 3rd-party partner services. All student facing interaction with videos using our captions and transcripts happens through these video hosting platforms and learning management systems.
All of our services from ordering to retrieving are available via our API. When a client uses a 3rd-party partner service, the entire workflow happens through that 3rd party partner service. Any accessibility issues with the service would then be addressed by the 3rd party partner provider.
cielo24 3rd-party partner services include but are not limited to: Kaltura- KMS & KMC, Echo360, YouTube, Kollective/Kontiki, Panopto, Mediasite, JWPlayer, Brightcove, and Wistia.
cielo24 is in the beginning stages of retrofitting the company website, user interface (UI), and transcription wrapper (in beta) to meet WCAG 2.0 Conformance Level AA standards by Dec 1, 2021. While these services are not currently compliant, all of our company information, help guides, and resources are available on Google Docs, which meet Section 508 accessibility guidelines. Additionally, we offer telephone support as an alternative to our written support documentation. Phase one of our accessibility retrofitting has begun on our Blog pages, which are in a conformance process toward WCAG compliance.
Once fully accessible, the cielo24 website, UI, and wrapper will be tested annually for accessibility compliance using the WAVE tool, and the accessibility statement and documentation will be updated.
